Video Editor (Contract)

Good Speech is a storytelling studio. We are looking for a Video Editor to support project-based work across our client roster.

$40/hr - $65/hr (depending on experience level)

Remote, but LA-based is preferred.

What you'll do:

• Cut short form. Pull clips out of interviews, events, and product footage for LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. Captions, pacing, sound, and thumbnails are part of the job.

• Cut long form. Assemble interview features, brand films, case studies, and event recaps from raw footage and a rough direction.

• Handle the nitty-gritty stuff. Organize and sync footage, clean up audio, basic color, versioning across aspect ratios, and getting files delivered where they need to go.

Who you are:

You've done this before! Early to mid career, freelancing or building toward it, with real work you can point to and some time on your hands.

You have a good ear for pacing and an eye for holding an audience past the first few seconds. You know when a cut is working and when it needs another pass. You're fluent in at least one of Premiere, Resolve, or Final Cut. Startups and nonprofits are the kind of clients you're excited to work with.
